I was not able to do much geocaching this port due to it being a working port and the fact that the nearest unfound cache would take me over ten miles from the ship in a place where I do not know the transportation routes too well. I was able to take a tour of some of the natural attractions of this place so it wasn't a total loss.

The Mureung Valley was very cool to hike in, though it was a little distracting being the object of so many photographers. It was interesting having them take my picture as I tried to take a picture of one of the Travel Bugs I had with me with one of the religious statues as a background. During the hike I was able to tour a small temple nestled a little ways up the trail and managed to make my way to a couple waterfalls before having to turn back due to time constraints. The scenery was very beautiful but the waterfalls were pretty dry due to the winter weather.

Afterwards the tour group met at the tourist shops/restaurants at the trail head and had quite the rambunctious time as they ate one of the more traditional Korean meals. Many were not happy with the fact that there wasn't too much meat in the meals provided and had to order more food but overall a good time was had by all.

A short time afterwards we made our way to Cheongok Cave, this place was incased with a building detailing the various types of stones and formations in a Museum upstairs with access to the cave itself below on the ground floor. It was pretty interesting to walk through with all the multi-colored lights going off showing off the various formations. It was also fun trying to get through a short part of the cave where you had to nearly double over in order to get through to the rest of the cave. They gave us little yellow hard hats to protect our heads and they came in useful for some as you heard multiple thuds and thwacks as people made their way through.

Other then the day tour I didn't do much this time as money was tight and I was so worn out by duty. I stand a twelve hour night watch and unfortunately I cannot get any sleep during the day due to duty section activities so it makes it twenty four hours of watch for both my duty days. I was so tired the first time that even when liberty call was called early I was so wiped that I went to my rack and knocked out for twelve hours...woke up just in time for duty the next day...:(. I hope to have some pictures up and something more to share next post, take care all!
