So I just got done eating most of a McDonalds cheese cake or A.K.A. instant heart failure when I realized I've done a post in my own journal for quite some time. Not much is happening though so posting hasn't been a priority. We are still on holiday standown so I have duty for one day then a day and a half of free time most of which has been taken up by playing Natural Selection.

I did finally receive the packages that my friends and family sent for christmas this month. They made my co-workers a little jealouse as day after day I would recieve box after box of goodies. Most of the food stuffs has been divied out and shared among them so they didn't grumble too much. It was very nice to recieve them.

Duty has been slow and unexciting, just the way I like it. My division is preparing for DITS (Division in the spotlight), so painting and cleaning places that normally don't recieve too much attention has been the focus between watches and drills. This means not much sleep during the duty day but at least we will not have to worry when the captain comes through and inspects.

Normally when I get off I make a few calls to friends and family before I get some quick shut eye before the rest of the day is out. Other then that Natural Selection has dominated a lot of my time when I'm not hanging out with friends. At first my play in NS was mediocre at best but now I've managed to start ending up in the top three at the end of the matches between those fisty aliens and cloned marines. I've made a goal at new years to best the commanders score through brute fire power...lol, considering they get points for every kill I make and every structure the marines build that may be hard. I guess I will have to shy away from building those obstructive little turrets they seem to litter the ground with around the hives...heheh.

So, have you been invited to go down into the engineroom and clean a manhole cover...hehehehehe...That was what we refer to when we got a pizza down in the engineroom.

The engineers have a nice air conditioned office to lounge around in so the "Manhole Covers" get polished off quite quickly...heheheh. We have a Burger King here as well but I try and stay away from it as much as possible...heheh. They are nearly as bad as Mcd's.
