Just a wee bit MAD!

April 25th, 2004 (12:31 pm)

Lady drops over from stroke in the store today. Calls of "Call 911!" ring throughout. Were we able to dial 911 from our phones in the store. No. One of my co-workers finally went over to the pay phone and got through right before I figured out the correct number of button pushes I had to go through to get a line open that would allow me to dial 911 on the company phone. Bullshit, complete and total bullshit. Everyday we dial numbers in town and out of town on these phones, why should dialing 911 or the operator be any different. It took me five tries to finally get through to 911. What if that lady didn't have that much time for me to summon help?

sounds horrible...and all because of the problem calling out...We have the same thing at work, but I'm pretty sure someone would just take out their cell phone and call 911 :p

Phony Phoneman

I neglected to bring mine that day because it needed charging. Found out later that the phone man that didn't seem to know what he was doing wasn't actually a phone guy at all. Guesses are that the FBI was investigating someone at the store. That is hersay though, not proven or disproven.
